The client wanted to refurbish the newly bought 1960s bungalow. The main requirement was to open up the space between the kitchen and dining room. The subsequent aim was to introduce a bigger opening to the rear wall. The overall style had to be an appropriate mix between the traditional and the contemporary.
We added the brick feature walls to visually connect the interiors with the exterior cladding. We partially used the client’s furniture while the kitchen is entirely new and sourced from local manufacturers. The fire grate is from a local architectural salvage. The work is in progress.

Mila Studio offer stills: photo-montage, interior and exterior views for Planning Permission; architectural presentations; massing models and artist’s impressions for competition pitches. We also work with marketing and advertising agencies in developing two-dimensional concepts into three-dimensional objects (e.g. exhibition stands, logos – characters).
We undertake contextual research around client’s brief. We develop concepts for branded environments, design venue layouts and three-dimensional illustrations for stage sets, events and exhibitions.
We listen to our clients carefully and put their interest first. Our research adopts lateral thinking and comprehensive analysis of data in order to ensure our clients get the best out of their project. We find communication very important and upon agreement of the project details we move to the creative stage, where we design, model and finalise the artistic direction of the project.
